Lost Sand on SoCal Beaches This Week

Our friends at Orange County Coastkeeper called our attention to this OC Register article (and the impressive accompanying photos) showing the loss of a lot of sand off of beaches this past week, due to king tides and some windy weather. We know that weather isn’t the same as climate and high tides are not the same as sea level rise — but the snapshots in today’s article should be noted as an event that illustrates what climate change and sea level rise might look like.
